Directions for taking measurements:

You'll need:
-Cloth measuring tape: available at any store w/ basic sewing supplies i.e. JoAnn Fabrics, Walmart, Dollar Tree, CVS...
-Paper and writing implement
-A friend: non-imaginary (This is VERY important, your measurements will be off if you try to take them yourself)

Required Measurements (I will assume inches unless you state otherwise):
Chest
Below Breast (Ladies only)
Waist
Hips
Torso
Outseam
Arm Length
Neck
Anything else I might need to know

Directions:
-Give the measure tape to your friend/assistant
-Face your partner, bow is optional
-Hold your arm out to your side and have your friend measure across the widest part of breast/chest, for ladies- also measure directly below breasts as well
-Repeat with the waist and hips. The waist is the narrowest point of the mid torso, which is about the belly button. The hips is the widest point just above the natural bend of the leg, about 6” below the waist
-With the arms down at the sides, the arm length is from the point at the top of the shoulder to where the wrist flares out into the hand.
-The torso measurement is down the back. It starts from the bump at the base of the neck and ends at the natural waist line (the same point you measured around for the waist measurement)
-Outseam is the waist to floor
-Neck is the measurement around the neck just above the flare into the shoulders. Take the measurement as loose as you like you collars
-Please include any additional measurements that you think I need. I also need to know things like one leg being longer than the other, twisted ribcages, etc. If parts of your body make the measurements different in different places (like arms being different lengths) please include the shortest and longest measurements as well as their locations (example: right arm 22”, left 24”)
-Please email these measurements to me, at artisan@misc-etcetera.com
