It is not the nature of the Dragon’s sons and daughters to sit idly by when duty calls!

While here in the fair Midrealm we tape our rattan, polish our rapiers, and count our arrows in preparation for a War of fun, in which every fallen combatant rises to sit by the fire with friend and foe alike at night and do battle again the next day, some of those with whom we have shared our Dream find themselves in a far more serious conflict. Far from their homes and their loved ones, they strive beyond their limits while facing danger and hardship in the service of their mundane land. It is in recognition of their sacrifice, which we pray will be one of no more than time and toil, that Their Majesties support the

MIDREALM WARRIORS PROJECT

Any lord or lady of the Midrealm who has entered the active military from civilian life or the reserves, and/or any who has been sent away from home and most especially to the war zone in the course of their military service, can receive a letter of recognition and token from the Crown. All that is needful is that someone submit the recipient’s SCA name, mundane name, and military mailing address to:

It is understood that many people have differing opinions regarding the current conflict in which our friends are serving. The purpose of the Midrealm Warriors Project is not to indicate support or condemnation of any political position, but merely to assure those lords and ladies of the kingdom who are doing their sworn duty that they are in the hearts and minds of those with whom they share the Dream in less perilous times.

“….[W]e know enough, if we know we are the king’s subjects: if his cause be wrong, our obedience to the king wipes the crime of it out of us.”
-- Henry V, Act IV, Scene 1
